Joe Torre will go into Cooperstown wearing a Yankees hat.

The Hall of Fame made the announcement Thursday.

“When I became the manager of the New York Yankees, it was an opportunity to realize my lifelong dream of winning the World Series,” Torre said in a statement. “We were fortunate enough to succeed in our first season in 1996, and in the years that followed, we wrote some great new chapters in Yankee history. I am honored that I will wear the Yankee logo on my cap in Cooperstown to represent what our teams achieved together.”

Torre played for the Braves, Cardinals and Mets before managing the Mets, Cardinals, Yankees and Dodgers. He won four World Series titles in The Bronx.

Tony LaRussa and Greg Maddux will go in without logos on their caps. Maddux spent 11 of his 23 seasons and won three of his four Cy Young awards with the Atlanta Braves. La Russa spent parts of at least eight seasons managing three different teams — the White Sox, A’s and Cardinals.

Tom Glavine and Bobby Cox will enter with Atlanta logos and Frank Thomas’ plaque will have a White Sox logo.

The six will be inducted during ceremonies on July 27.
